MONSTERS BASH BATTLE ROYAL TAKES CENTER STAGE

Impact Zone Wrestling (IZW) returns on November 5 with the Fall Classic Halloween Hangover LIVE on the GFL Combat Sports Network at GFL.tv. The stacked event comes from the Impact Arena in Lawton, Oklahoma, the home base of operations for IZW. If you can’t be in the arena you can still watch it live online through the GFL Combat Sports Network at GFL.tv. Headlining the event is the annual Monsters Bash Battle Royal.

The rules are simple; every member of the IZW roster (except the Heavyweight Champion) is entered in this match. The winner gets a future title shot for the World IZW Heavyweight Championship. For wrestlers looking to break out of the pack, this is the single most important match of the year. As history has shown, every winner of the Monsters Bash has gone on to win the IZW Heavyweight Title. This is the one match guaranteed to springboard a wrestler’s career.

Last year, Jermaine Johnson won it all, and when the opportunity came for him to challenge for the World Title, he made the most of it and defeated “The Real Deal” Aaron Neil for the Heavyweight Championship less than a month after winning the Monsters Bash. It’s a title that Johnson has defended for almost a year.

In 2009, it was the 325 lb behemoth “The Hate Machine” John O’Malley who won the Monsters Bash and punched in his ticket by defeating the most decorated World Champion in IZW history, Aaron Neil, for the Heavyweight Championship.

Winning the Monsters Bash Battle Royal not only gives the winner an automatic title shot but it also gives the victor an unbreakable spirit and will to win that is hard to defeat inside the IZW ring. History has shown, the Monsters Bash is just as much as psychological boost for an athlete’s career as anything else, because coming off of a victory where you defeat the whole roster gives a wrestler an incredible grit and determination that is hard for even the champion to overcome when the two lock up.

Who is going to win it this year? IZW fan favorite and multi-time Heavyweight Champion, Aaron Neil is the #1 entrant into the match. It will be a tough road to ho, but if anyone can last the entire match and win it all, it’s Neil. What about his opponent earlier in night, Brent Albright. Could this be “The Shooter’s” coming out party? Then there’s the teammate facet to contend with. Will forces like Impact Inc. and the Old School Suckas use a divide and conquer game plan? Will they converge on a single wrestler like a pack of jackals, team up on him and toss him over the top rope? Or will it be every man for himself, because of what is at stake? All these questions will be answered on November 5, as IZW presents Halloween Hangover, LIVE all around the world on pay-per-view only at GFL.tv.
