In a show of true character and honor, IZW announced that the month of June will be Moore Recovery Month with 100% of the revenue collected, which includes ticket sales, merchandise, and concession sales, being donated to the American Red Cross to ease the burden and help the people of Moore, Oklahoma who were devastated by the recent tornadoes. The charity work began with this week’s episode of IZW Adrenaline.
IZW has been working closely with the Red Cross since the tornadoes hit and the Red Cross wanted to use the worldwide audience of IZW to deliver a message to wrestling fans everywhere. From Daniel Farrell, “The Red Cross has now taken an unprecedented leadership role in the tornado recovery effort. Ordinarily, the Red Cross provides assistance with relief, but now will stay in Moore to aid in the recovery effort. Since May 20th, every $10 donation text made will go to the Oklahoma Tornado Recovery.” There are plenty of ways to help the victims of Oklahoma as tornado season is still not over. Now is the time to make an Impact! To find out what you can do to help the people of Moore, email IZW at moorerecoverymonth@izwrestling.com.
Last week, we saw the seeds of a potential coalition possibly being formed between Double D and Damon Windsor and The Bronze Bull and “The Brass Bull” IZW Wrestler. All four men are fighting the same cause, but as of yet they are not a united front. In a little over a month, on July 20 at Evolution, Team Erica (Impact Elite consisting of IZW Champion Johnny Z, IZW Tag Team Champions Jermaine Johnson & Jordan Jacobs, Kevin Morgan and The Convict) will stand in the middle of the ring, in an Impact Chamber Match looking for a fight. Their opponents are yet to be announced, but if Double D, Windsor, Bull and Starr can find some way to come together, that would lay a great foundation of four top-notch wrestlers (with one more still to go) who would pose a formidable threat to Impact Elite. But wrestling is a crazy business and anything can happen, especially in the Impact Arena in Lawton, Oklahoma. Only time will tell, that’s why this week’s show is must-see TV. Broken bones are only surpassed by bruised egos and these four men have to find a way to leave the past in the past and look toward the future, because that’s what’s at stake at Evolution. The very future of IZW.
In other news, it has been a couple weeks since we heard any news from Impact Division Champion Damien Morte. Is he out of the hospital? Is he 100% healed, only 50%, who knows? Morte was injured the night of Coronation as he was hit by a speeding car in the parking lot. There are plenty of suspects, but the list is lengthy and some of the facts still remain cloudy. The best source of information is Morte himself, but his health and whereabouts are unknown.
Also, “Bad” Brad Michaels has taken his feud and lawsuit with Randy Price to new heights as he has met with his lawyer and promised to sue Price for everything he’s worth and even try to take the shirt off of his back. All for something that happened in a wrestling ring, where athletes know that they are putting their very livelihoods on the line each and every time they step foot in a squared circle. With the impending legal cloud that is looming over Price you wouldn’t know it by his wrestling. Price has been a man possessed for close to a month now, dishing out punishment and beatings to anyone stupid enough to lock up with him. Will Michaels look to up the ante in this rivalry?
All these questions and more will be answered on this week’s live edition of IZW Adrenaline!
