IZW saved the best for last, as Chaotic Christmas brought the house down with tons of great wrestling, title changes, nail-biting drama and proving that IZW is the leader in Independent wrestling in North America.

In the main event, IZW Heavyweight Champion Double D defeated “The Bronze Bull” Aaron Neil in a historic bout that put Double D into another stratosphere as a professional wrestler. Double D started off by attacking Neil’s hands with an effective but seldom used wristlock that he pulled, tweaked and manipulated until Neil was screaming like a baby before finally breaking the illegal hold after a 5-count by special referee Johnny Z. Double D and Neil then traded side headlocks each reversing the other with the bigger and stronger Neil getting the better of the exchanges. Then for some odd reason, Neil went after Z with a side headlock, but was quickly reversed as Z turned the tables with his own headlock.

Double D recovered enough and landed a series of headlock takedowns, keeping Neil off his tree trunk legs and powerful base. A few moments later the action moved outside of the ring as Double D slammed Neil into the barricade and guardrail right in front of the fans. The wrestlers then made their way around the entire ringside area with D landing forearms to Neil’s face and crashing Neil’s ribs into the guardrail. D got cute and paid for it as he tried to flip Neil over onto the floor with his legs, but Neil blocked the move and swung D’s head into the guardrail changing the complexion of the match instantly. Neil wasn’t finished as he hurled D into the steel steps with D’s head leading the way. Neil smelled blood as he further attacked D outside of the ring dropping him ribs first on the guardrail. Neil also landed a series of chops on the outside that tore into the flesh of Double D with enough force to collapse a normal man’s lungs. The action finally returned to the ring where Neil continued to pummel Double D with strikes as it looked like IZW would be crowning a new Heavyweight Champion.

In the greatest feat of strength of the night, Neil superplexed Double D from the second rope, but what was most impressive was how Neil held D up vertically for what seemed like eternity until finally dropping the hammer and bringing D’s body crashing to the mat below. Neil tried to lock in his Boston Crab submission but D’s core strength was able to thwart every attempt finally changing the momentum of the bout back in his favor by landing a knee to Neil’s face. D then went for a crossbody off the tope rope but was scouted well by Neil as Neil reversed the move into a Greetings From Mt. Olympus that shook the Impact Arena to its core. Neil went for the move a second time, but got reversed into a Defacer by Double D. D then set Neil up for his patented knees in the corner, but Neil stopped the assault with a low blow. Neil then had an argument with Johnny Z that culminated in Z taking the belt away from Neil as he attempted to use it as a weapon. This gave Double D an opportunity to climb to the top rope and go for his crossbody finisher for the second time in the match, but this time he missed and landed on Johnny Z instead! Neil then picked up the Championship belt one more time, and walloped D in the face with it. By the time groggy Johnny Z made his way over to count, Double D kicked out with authority! Neil seemed to snap here as he gave Johnny Z a Greetings From Mt. Olympus. Neil landed the same move once again on Double D this time.

With no referee, the dreaded and devious Mark Wilson ran down to the ring to count the pinfall, but Double D got a shoulder up once again. While Neil and Erica began to argue with Wilson about the count, Double D, now with a huge black eye from the earlier belt shot by Neil, recovered and hit a flying knee on Neil. Double D then grabbed Erica and gave her the Force sign before moving out of the way as Neil bulldozed into the Madam Commissioner on accident, knocking her off the ropes. Double D then placed another knee on Neil’s jaw before going up to the top rope once again for one final crossbody attempt that found its mark this time as referee Mark Wilson counted the 1-2-3! Double D is still your IZW World Heavyweight Champion!

In other action, The Old School Suckas (Randy Price & Bryan Cruize) defeated Big Business (Damon Windsor & Kevin Morgan) to win the Tag Titles in a Last Chance Match. The OSS made the most of their final opportunity. The OSS came out like two bats out of hell going right after BB. Cruize once again showed he is a powerhouse mixed with athleticism as he landed a springboard shoulder block on Windsor that sent him down to the mat. Price tagged in and got a 2-count on Windsor, but the big man fought back landing a sidewalk slam and turning the tide of the match that had been dominated in the early part by the Suckas. Next it was Morgan’s turn as he and Price proceeded to have a knock down drag out fight with each man landing overhand rights with Morgan getting the better of the exchanges.

After tag-ins by each team it was back to Windsor and Cruize. Windsor landed a nice snap suplex and was close on his own pinfall attempt. BB worked in some double team action in the corner culminating in a running clothesline by Morgan. But in the melee Price tagged himself in and took on both members of BB by landing a huge elbow to Windsor’s jaw and a boot to the gut that slowed down Morgan. Price misfired on his top rope, spinning moonsault as he crashed into the referee on accident as Windsor used the ref as a shield. With the ref down and out for the moment, the Suckas delivered the Sucka Slam to Windsor but had no ref to count the pinfall. Eventually Morgan cleared house culminating with a Detonator (double chokeslam) from Big Business on Cruize. But then, Santa made an appereance! Santa gave Morgan his present bag and in it was a Classic Old School Suckas shirt. Santa was the returning Gary Tool! Tool leveled Morgan and then Tool and Price gave Morgan a Sucka Slam as Price followed up with a pinfall just as the ref came to. Christmas came early for the Old School Suckas as they won the tag team titles with help from “Santa”.

Up next for the OSS are the #1 Challengers Team Remix (Cody Jones & Copycat) who defeated Aerial Assault (Dane Griffin & Joe Herell) earlier in the night to claim that spot. Jones was in a zone showing off all kinds of moves and the speed in which he was bouncing around the ring doing counters and holds was dizzying. Copycat showcased solid mat based wrestling as he kept Griffin grounded and worked over his neck. Griffin managed to spin out of Copycat’s hold and tagged in Herell as Copycat tagged in Jones. Jones and Herell had a nice series of moves where they went tit for tat with rollovers and duckouts highlighted by Jones landing in the middle of the top rope like a cat and being flung back to the ring by Herell. In one of the moves of the night, all four men were involved in a hybrid powerbomb, superplex with Jones the top man and Griffin doing the heavy lifting on the bottom on the twisted totem pole of bodies. All 4 wrestlers had the wind knocked out of them by this move. Griffin recovered first and went to work on Team Remix dropping Copycat and landing a springboard DDT on Jones. But Copycat was able to land a Stunner on Griffin followed by a flying double knees by Jones on Herell as Team Remix pulled it all together and scored a pinfall out of nowhere to claim the #1 Contenders Spot. When the OSS and Team Remix finally hook up it will be one for the ages and push the envelope on athleticism, aggression and fast paced wrestling.

Jermaine Johnson won the Impact Division Title after defeating The Convict, Jordan Jacobs, Damien Morte and IZW Wrestler in the first ever Impact X Match that was a bout for the ages and showed just how cutting edge IZW and its wrestlers are. Johnson proved that he might be the best all-around wrestler in the company when it comes to special rules matches by going through this insane gauntlet and coming out the end wearing gold. Early on it was The Convict who unleashed a fury of destruction on the other combatants as he leveled his competition with right hands and clotheslines. He even used the steel cage as a weapon harkening back to his days as an inmate in various prisons across America where he brutalized the general population most notably Johnson was busted open and bleeding from the forehead do to The Convict’s rampage. But it didn’t take long for the rest of the wrestlers to start working as a team against The Convict. First it was IZW Wrestler who jumped out of the way of an errant splash, resulting in The Convict smashing against the steel cage. Next up was Morte who landed a perfect flying elbow to The Convict’s head, and then it was Jacobs’ turn as he hit The Convict across the jaw with a flying kick. Finally all three men executed a triple dropkick and sent The Convict crashing down to the mat.

From there, Morte jumped up to the cables where he advanced towards the hanging belt, only to be brought down hard by a spinebuster from Starr. Now straddling the ropes, Morte was drop kicked again by Jacobs who had a running start this time as Morte’s limp body crashed against the steel cage. By this time, Johnson had recovered and went one on two against Jacobs and Starr and cleaned house with both. Johnson then leaped up to the cables and began his first ascent at grabbing the Impact Division belt. But it was Jacobs, again with the dropkick from the top of the turnbuckle that sent Johnson spiraling out of control and back down to the canvas. Later in the bout, it was Morte, who was also busted open and bleeding everywhere, and had his legs wrapped around the belt as he hung from the cable almost choked out by Jacobs using a modified triangle choke and finally castoff from the ropes by Johnson who dragged his body back down to the mat. Morte was razor close here in regaining the title. Next it was a bloody Starr’s turn to go for gold, but he got a belly to back suplex from The Convvvict and was toast. In one of the more memorable moves of the match, Jacobs was dangling from the cable as The Convict held on to his feet. From there, Johnson hit the ES2 on Jacobs destroying Jacobs’ face and head as it crashed down with wicked force to the mat below. Another awesome move was when The Convict went for the title and was hanging on the cable. Led by Johnson all four wrestlers delivered a quadruple powerbomb onto The Convict that spelled the end for the former champion.

Seizing the moment, all four remaining wrestlers each jumped up to a corner and began the final ascent towards the belt that was still hanging in the middle of the ring. All four men met at the center at the same time and kicked furiously at one another trying to take one another out. Starr fell first, then Morte and finally Jacobs. Johnson was the last man hanging from the cables and proceeded to snatch the title free and become the new Impact Division Champion!

In other action, youth was served as Chad Thomas defeated The Midnite Rider in a route. Thomas dominated as he was on the offensive the whole bout including when he landed a perfect European Uppercut to Rider’s jaw that put the veteran on dizzy street for the rest of the bout with the exception of one moment where Rider landed a bionic elbow on Thomas. The end came with a kick to the body by Thomas followed by a discus clothesline that put Rider down and out for good. Thomas has the brute strength to compete against anybody and also has a solid mat-based style that makes him even more dangerous. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for this blue-chip prospect.

In the women’s division, Venus continued her winning streak by defeating Angel Blue as a late replacement for Madam Commissioner Erica. The bout was stacked in Venus’ favor from the very beginning as Erica was ringside and got physical with Blue by landing a punch to Blue’s face. Venus dominated the early going including an awesome series of moves including a bow and arrow on Blue followed by a dragon sleeper. But Blue fought back landing a well-timed neckbreaker that took the air out of Venus. But Venus recovered and landed a Samoan drop, followed up by Erica interferring one more time. With the ref distracted by Shawn McHale, Erica clobbered Blue with her shoe and fell right into a Venus Envy as the ref counted 1-2-3.
