IZW August 3rd Preview Adrenaline on GFL.tv
“IZW Adrenaline” kicks back into high gear this Saturday, August 3, with the landscape of IZW looking very different than it did only one week ago.
IZW crowned new Tag Team Champions as the East-West Playaz (Soto Miyagi & Midnite Rider) defeated Impact Elite’s What Wrestling Should Be (Jermaine Johnson & Jordan Jacobs) in a back and forth battle that ended with Miyagi and Rider walking out carrying the gold. Will the newly minted champs be put to the test right out of the gate? Knowing that Johnson and Jacobs roll with Impact Elite and IZW Champion Johnny Z and Co-Commissioner Erica, a rematch is likely on the horizon. Impact Elite is famous for walking over anyone standing in their way to get what they want. And you have to believe they want the Tag Titles back. But will it be this week? Miyagi and Rider have formed one of the most unlikely tag teams ever, but you can’t argue with the results. They stand atop the mountain as the #1 Tag Team in IZW and are more than willing to prove that against What Wrestling Should Be or any other team that wants to step up. Now that they have the gold, look for Miyagi and Rider to only become more determined and dangerous in the ring as they look to hold on to their belts for a long, long time and grow their legacy.
In other shocking news, after a tremendous Triple Threat Ladder Match last week involving Impact Division Champion Drake Gallows, Copycat and Phoenix, all of the focus on the title is now directed at the thief who interrupted the epic match and took the title. Kevin Morgan, who vowed to Johnny Z to “raise expectations” certainly did just that as after a hard fought bout by the aforementioned three, Morgan stormed the ring and destroyed Gallows and Phoenix by pushing them off a 15-foot ladder. As for Copycat, he had already come face to face with another nemesis earlier in the bout as Rage Logan chased him to the backstage area. All five of these men are locked into an unlikely feud and it would make sense that Logan and Copycat will set their sights 100% on one another, while Gallows and Phoenix battle Morgan to try and reclaim the prestige and honor that is the Impact Division Title.
There are also budding feuds aplenty as Double D and Brandon Bishop continue to escalate their hostility towards one another, while another grudge could be finished as Brad Michaels almost assuredly ended the career of Randy Price. What lies ahead for Michaels and Price now? What about Damon Windsor? He suffered yet another beatdown at the hands of Impact Elite last week, yet “Big Business” has shown an uncanny ability to comeback and overcome almost insurmountable odds.
